My Whole Heart...for my Whole Life....

I am always asked as a photographer "What do you specialize in"? My answer....nothing. I choose to do a little of everything that I love. I do however have a few sessions that always always steal my heart and make me feel that this is so much more than just a "job". Mommy n' me sessions/photos are one of them.

As a mother myself how could I NOT enjoy showing the true connection and love between mother and child? How could I NOT give a little piece of my own mommy heart with each and every session. I know as the kids grow and start leaving you how very important it truly is to have said that you made the most of every moment you had. You took nothing for granted and you snapped as many photos as humanly possible. Can you say that? I sure hope so.

I still make my kids get Mommy n' Me photos with me and they are adults and teenagers! Age is just a number in every other forum...why not for this? They may hate the outfits you pick for them, they may hate that they have to smile and hug their siblings, they may hate the overall experience...but that's okay. One day, I promise they will thank you for it!

I think most Mother's can say that their children are the loves of their lives. No matter if they had colic until they were 3 years old and became some sort of possessed creature that you swore would make their head spin and spit pea soup at you at ANY moment when the preteen years set in, they still had all the best pieces of you in one tiny package. One little package that held your finger and looked up at you with those big adoring eyes ....always at the perfect moment. One little package that grew up to prove your wrong at every single chance, but that was okay. You were proud of them for being honest, and smart enough to figure out the crazy scenario that brought them to conclusion. One tiny package that quickly grew to be a foot taller than you and so much more beautiful than you ever could have been. But, the funny part is...you will always be the most beautiful woman in the world to them...well, until they have their own daughter of course.

Take a few minutes to think back on your motherhood experience.....I hope it's filled with tons of moments..too many in fact...that stand out. I hope you have so many photos of you with your babies you couldn't possibly pick a favorite! And if you don't...then you need to call me...ASAP!!!!
