2016 Holiday Mini Information..please read me :)
Here's all the info you will need for your upcoming holiday mini this Sunday, November 6th. Or next Saturday, November 12th.
*There will be a few "posed photos" as well as a few "lifestyle/interaction" photos. (a little bit of everything). A few holiday and a few regular background. Just perfect for holiday cards and ones that can be left up on the wall all year round.
*Cost is $50 due at your session. Cash is fantastic..check (made payable to Joyce Malis) is okay too.
*The theme this year is "Smore's the Holidays!". I will have a small campfire, blankets, holiday/campy props & Smore's stuff (yep! Really making Smore's). Feel free to bring anything that you'd like to incorporate. A favorite family blanket, story book (for small kiddos), sign with family name etc. We can make just about anything work!
*Colors of main staging area are burgandy and white with touches of dark brown and black. Try to coordinate colors and outfits around that. Greys, black and jewel tones should compliment nicely.
*When choosing outfits please oh please don't all show up in plaid. Looks super cute on one or two of you..not all 6 of you! LOL. Same goes for the same color. All in white or all in black can sometimes just not turn out as planned. A good rule of thumb is one or two in a pattern the rest neutrals/complimenting colors. Not everyone has to be the same. Coordinate not be the same. Still not sure: Check out this blog post on what to wear and what not to wear for sessions: http://mommyluvs3.wixsite.com/photosbyjoyce/single-post/2016/03/13/Just-say-NO-to-all-the-same-color
*Also when choosing/coordinating outfits, remember those details. Layering..sweaters, vests, jean jackets etc. Also, accessories can completely make an outfit! Hats, scarves, jewelry, boots etc. Even if it's 70 degrees out...(fingers crossed that it is!), we want the photos to look like it's chilly and holiday time.
*If bringing your pup, remember his/her favorite treat or toy that can grab their attention.
*Feel free to bring a "helper" if you have someone that can wrangle the doggie or kids for a few minutes so maybe mom and dad can get a photo alone. The location we are shooting is pretty close to a main road, side road and my drive way...which cars will be pulling in and out of all day. Pups can also be put back into the car that will be conveniently parked nearby for a few shots without your BFF.
*Due to the fact that it is less than 7 days before the session date, if you cancel you will still be responsible for 1/2 of your session fee. Sorry..:(
*Please be on time for your session. Super early is NOT necessary! I am booked every 1/2 hour back to back all day with no breaks. Tardiness will be taken off your session time.
*Sessions run about 20 minutes in length.
*Images will be delivered via online gallery and within two weeks of your session date. All sessions will receive a sneak peak on social media unless otherwise stated.
*Unfortunately my address does not show up on GPS. So, here are specific directions:
From Greensburg in town: Go to Sheetz near Lynch Field (211 Harvey Ave, Gbg). Bear left at the red light after the tunnel onto Rt. 819N. Head about 4 miles. Along the way you will pass Saybrook Village on your left, a presbyterian church on your left , you will go down a big windy hill that has a white farm house with horses at the bottom. Go a little further and you will see on your left Daniels Excavating. I am the next left you can make. Slate blue house with white trim right along Rt. 819 and the corner of Coal Hollow Rd. Pool in yard and split rail fence runs along the road. Pitt flag hanging in the front. At the beginning of my fence you will see a large banner that says "Photos by Joyce". You can turn directly after that or along the side road (driveway has entrances both ways) depending on how everyone is parked at the time. If I am not outside at the time, I ran in to potty and will return within a few moments.
I cannot wait to see all of you again, or meet those of you that I haven't quite yet! I am super excited about this session of mini's and sharing my ideas with all of you! See you soon!
Much Love,
Joyce
