What Have I been Up to???
This past week I skipped my weekly blog post. For two reasons, the first was that I really really loved the post I had just made and wanted another week of recognition for it. And the second reason was that my life was so crazy that I knew I couldn't put any time or effort (that the blog rightfully deserves) into it. So, I left well enough alone for the time being.
During that crazy hectic week, my son and I attended his college orientation. (sniff sniff). I did really well and only cried twice..that I am confessing to anyway! This is a small documentation of our day. We spent it just him and I..which was really nice. We spent hours touring and roaming the campus to find his classrooms etc. I am so thankful to have had that time alone with him. It was really special.
Although he will only be about an hour away...that is too far for this mom's liking! I want to continually say to him "Please don't go. Please slow down time just a little. Let's rewind to about 17 years ago and do it all over again..please!?"
I guess it's really official. Money is paid, ID card is made and his schedule is ready to go!
These halls will be his new home for the next 4 years. These streets will be where he makes friends, finds love, holds the buildings where he will educate himself, feed himself, do his own laundry and be independent for the first time. It is a definite love/hate relationship I have with the campus.
I usually don't do this type of photography and I sometimes ..no always..tend to overlook the details of my own daily life. I am glad that I had the chance to capture the small things that will mean so much to him over the next few years. (all photos are cell phone pictures..so don't judge..lol)
As always, at the end of our adventures he ends up eating then falling asleep. The way it's always been and probably always will be. (future wife..you have been warned!)
Thanks for being patient while I got back into the swing of the blog. I hope a little part of you missed it and look forward to next week which will be all about my seniors I've met over the past year from the graduating class of 2016!!!
